What to Expect

I will need to know if your horse or dog is on any medication, their work history, and a brief description of issues they are encountering. See your horse or dog’s gait/movement and I may ask to see your horse lunged and under saddle where appropriate.

Equine rehabilitation

A three Dimentional perspective

  • I am a restorative exercise specialist (7 years)

  • I'm a rider and a qualified riding coach (30+ years)

  • I've been an equine and human therapist (26 years)

I specialize in various techniques and therapies, including:

  • Variety of soft tissue techniques

  • Mctimoney Corley - Animal manipulation

  • Myofascial work

  • Movement rehabilitation

After therapy I will advise on specific rehabilitation activities, injury prevention suited to your horse/dog, advise on returning to normal activities, ground work, conditioning, training issues and optimal well being.

I am part of a team when it comes to your horse’s health, here are a few recommendations;

Following a traumatic accident my horse fractured his spine. Initially Sam gave me practical advice to help keep him comfortable and reduce the amount of muscle wastage as he was to sore to be touched. When therapy and movement rehabilitation began a plan was developed and sam has been there to ensure the process worked. My horse is now back in full work, amazing!

Sam has been treating my horses for over 10 years. Working on his sacroilliac (along with several other niggles along the way!) and teaching me the to long rein properly to help him work correctly. She has worked alongside my vet and farrier. She has a huge wealth of knowledge along with a passion for what she does which means she really invests her time to ensure the best outcome for you and your horse.
